Whispering Hope

a poem by Charles Edward Motley

In the darkness of twilight

On a journey from pain and fear

Tired, road-worn travelers

Will somehow wind up here

Some have lost their fire

Others are weak and frail

Take this hand extended,

Let us help you down the trail

We have seen it many times

Like the dawning of the sun

Rays of hope and healing

A new journey has begun

Hope will always whisper

It seldom is a shout

Open your heart and listen

Hope will help you make it out

Whispering Hope…a magical sound

In a magical place

Where each will find a healing touch

And hear the voice of grace.
